Final Year Project, 2022
A series of autobiographical paintings of self reflection.
Being away from all things familiar for 2 years during the pandemic forced me to take a step back and look
for inspiration in the past. And for me, painting is the most raw form of expression and hence.
In these paintings I am revisiting my past to cope with the present. My aim is to immortalise these memories by turning them into paintings. Painting is a form of therapy that helped me stay focused and hopeful.
Being at crossroads in my life/career, it became difficult to remain optimistic but these visuals are my foundation and I am reminding myself to hold on to them.
